In 2016, the area I lived in was devastated by a severe flood. For a full week, the only way to reach my home was by small boat. What stayed with me most, though, was the sight of my neighbors’ belongings lining the streets—everything they owned, laid out in the aftermath. People were overwhelmed, unsure where to begin or how to start over.
I remember thinking that I had to do something to help.
That’s when I began rebuilding homes in my neighborhood, one by one. At the time, I was still working a full-time job, but I spent every spare moment helping others rebuild. As the need grew, so did the work. Eventually, there came a point where I had taken on enough projects that I made the decision to leave my job at the plant.
That decision marked the beginning of Riverlands Construction & Renovations.
Since then, my focus has remained the same: loyalty, quality work, and making sure every customer is taken care of. As we approach our 10-year anniversary, the only thing that has changed is our ability to do more.
Over the past decade, I have learned a great deal and shared that knowledge with my team. Through that experience, I’ve come to believe that with the right approach and commitment, nothing is unachievable.
